The site below offers free samples of the projects that they offer. I find the site to be rather challenging to maneuver around, but what I have managed to find so far looks like it would be fun for the kids if you can find the correct products. The products look to be relatively
affordable as well.

Site to Order Standardized Testing
The following site provides standardized tests for only $25. http://www.setontesting.com/
Whether you want to give your child some practice before the big test days ahead (if your state requires this), if you're simply curious to find out if your child is at grade level, or need an indicator at the beginning of your home school year, this might be a nice way to find out what you need to know about your home schooling efforts as well as help your child understand how these types of tests work.
I am in no way endorsing the sites that I list on this blog. I'm merely trying to help the home schooling family find a feasible niche in this sometimes confusing circumstance. Please research and use your own judgment whether these suggestions will work for you or not.

Free Online Education
The only catch is that your state has to accept them as an online educator. Once again, my state isn't cooperating with the mission. Check them out though. Maybe you'll be fortunate enough to live in one of the states that does cooperate. http://www.connectionsacademy.com/ Check back with them often as they declare that they are working to enter several states. This is a great option for parents who want to keep their children in the safety of their own homes without doing all the work themselves. Good luck!

Central Christian Academy
I just realized I've been so busy that I haven't posted to this blog in a while. So I'm flipping through some home schooling/distance schooling cards that I've recently received in the mail. Below is the first site in my stack. Of course, I visited the site and I think you will be very pleased. So many of us have different ideas about home schooling that all of these will be worth checking out I believe.
This site offers enrollment so that your child can learn at home with several different payment plans for the VERY affordable tuition rate. http://www.acces-inc.com/cca/cca.php?page=enroll It's about 50% cheaper annually than the private schools in our area.
Or you can buy curriculum only and teach your child(ren) yourself. It's a very easy site to navigate with several options for those of you who are tired of the public education system letting you down.
